The Book Club

The Ramsgrange Book Club 2014

The book club continues to meet once a month on the third Wednesday of every month (Or as close to could be 4th Wednesday) here in the centre. The group has 14 members, who not only enjoy the meeting of the book club but also the social outings that are organised by the book club at Christmas and during the summer.

This year we enjoyed reading some wonderful books including Michael Hardings Starring at lakes, The Ballad of Mo & G by Billy Keane and we read both of JK Rowlings foray into “Adult Literature” writing under the Pseudo name Robert Galbraith The Cuckoos Calling and The Silkworm.  We read a charming little story called A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen, we also read Sue Monk Kidds new book The Invention of Wings and the Sealed Letter by Man Booker Nominated Emma Donohue and we finished of the year with The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters. For a future outing we are planning to attend the Cinema to see “Brooklyn” which was a book that we have read and enjoyed by our very own Wexford man Colm Tobin and filmed in the Model County

Please contact Cathy Dowling on 087 2355478 or cathydowling@ovi.com for membership details or more information
