Tourism with Business – LTI Programme

We will soon have an exciting new opportunity opening up here at SWWFRC.  Responding to a number of requests, we will be delivering a 2 year part time, FREE training course covering a wide range of Tourism/Business skills.  These will include digital skills & computer training, entrepreneurial skills development, life and career coaching, barista skills and table service, essential skills for mental wellbeing and product development and design.  Starting in March, we hope to run the course on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week.  Places are limited so please contact us on 051 389418 or email read@swwfrc.ie for more information or to book a place

Fusion Youth Café at South West Wexford Family Resource Centre

Fusion Café is open for 5th and 6th class pupils on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 3pm – 5pm, and for Secondary School students on Wednesdays, from 4pm – 6pm.  Meet up with your friends, play games and have fun.  This is a chance to try lots of games and fun activities, so do come along. We have a small tuckshop with a limited variety of snacks available, and also on the menu this week are crepes, with a filling of your choice. Covid protocols are still in place so make sure you have filled in a Covid screening form which can be downloaded from our Facebook page Fusion Youth Café Ramsgrange.  To book a place, please phone 087 1769843 or 051 389418.

Community Employment Scheme

We currently have a number of vacancies on our Community Employment Scheme. These include an Early Years Educator position, a Community Café position, and a maintenance positions. Free QQI courses are offered as part of the work so this gives participants a great opportunity to gain new qualifications

Upcoming Courses at REaD

Please contact us for information about courses which we have planned for the New Year.  These include Payroll, Accounting, ICDL and Palliative Care.  Recipients of social welfare may be entitled to funding towards courses. Easy payment plans can be availed of for all courses. Blokes with Cameras

We will re-open for our Wednesday evening meetings in South West Wexford Family Resource Centre on Wednesday 26th January.  The group meet at 7pm and although our main activity is photography, we also do lots of other things, including woodwork, IT training and outings.  All are welcome and for more information contact Jack on 087 1358254

St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange

The Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange would be delighted to welcome older people in our community who would like to avail of the services we offer. Why not give yourself a day out to meet with friends, old and new, join in activities, have a chat and a laugh & enjoy delicious freshly prepared meals from our kitchen.  Our Cook is here to assist with special dietary requirements.   Our Nurse is on hand to deal with any minor medical issues.   The services provided include bus collection, laundry, bakery, GP clinic, chiropody, hairdressing, assisted showering, Meals on Wheels Monday to Friday.   We like to think of St. Louis Day Care Centre as a home away from home where you will be warmly welcomed.  If you think you, or if you know anybody who would benefit from attending the Day Care please contact us on 051 389509 or email us at stlouisdaycarecentre@gmail.com.

Ramsgrange Central National School is now taking enrolments for September 2022.  You can get an enrolment pack by contacting Karen in the office on 051-389363 or email ramsgrangens@hotmail.com.

Ballyhack National School

St. Catherine’s National School, Ballyhack is now taking enrolments for School year 2022/2023.  Your child must turn 4 on or before the 1st of September 2022.  If you would like your child to start school in Ballyhack then please contact the school by phone: 051-389 368, by email: ballyhackschool@gmail.com, or call into the school for an Enrolment Pack.  Closing date for returning your application forms to the school is Friday 11th March 2022.

Horeswood National School

St James GAA Lotto

The club would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets for last Tuesday’s draw. There was no winner of the €14,000 jackpot in the draw and the winning numbers were: 6, 17, 25, & 26. St James Club had no match three winners.  Jackpot for the next lotto draw on 25th January 2022 will be €14,000 (reserve jackpot €11,900). Lotto tickets are available from committee members and local shops & pubs.
