Kids Interactive Music Session

Moo Music, Wexford, will hold an interactive music session for 0-5 year old kids and their parents/carers in SWWFRC on Monday 20th June, from 10 -11am.  This will be a fun activity which will give the children (and adults!) a chance to sing, dance and play.  Booking is essential and the cost is €3 per person. FREE Bike Maintenance and Road Safety Workshop

 A hands on workshop covering various aspects of bike maintenance and road safety. Cycling is a great activity for all the family because not only is it fun to do together, it is also a great way of keeping fit and getting fresh air.  This is a chance to be fully prepared by making sure your bikes are road ready and learn some top safety tips. The workshop will be held at the SWWFRC and will run from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday 21st June. We welcome adults and children –but each child must be accompanied by one adult. Duncannon National School – Caretaker

We are looking for a caretaker/maintenance person for our school.  This is a TUS position and will be for 19.5 hours per week.  The duties will include overall responsibility for general maintenance and upkeep of external/internal areas of the school.  Eligible criteria will apply, such as in receipt of a Social Welfare payment for a minimum of one year.  Please forward your CV to The Principal at  info@duncannonns.com

Terrerath Community Fun Day

There will be a family fun day on Sunday 12th June at the Terrerath Community Centre –Y34 AO27.  The event is starting at 12 noon and the official opening of the new gym will take place at 12.30pm. We will have a load of craft stalls selling locally made goods, a Tug-o-war competition, wellie throwing, dog show, Kids Disco, and lots more.

Fethard on Sea Country Market

The Market will take place every Saturday morning throughout the summer in  St Marys Hall, Fethard. This is your opportunity to buy fresh local produce and a wide variety of crafts and gifts. The market opens from 10.30am to 12 pm, and we will have the usual mix of delicious baking, fresh eggs, jams, chutneys, chocolate, creative crafts and plants. Our members will give you a warm welcome and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone again, so please come along and say hello.

Duncannon Beach Market

The Beach Market will be back again this summer. It is planned to open every Sunday in June from 10.30am to 4pm, Fridays and Saturdays during July and August from 3pm to 6pm, and on Sundays from 10.30am to 4pm.  A limited number of spaces are available so contact Dawn on 085 8718936 or Sarah on 087 1386534 for more information. 

St James GAA

The winning Lotto numbers were 5, 7, 16, 30 and there was no Jackpot Winner. The match 3 winners who shared  €1,000.00 were 1)  Laurence O’Leary, Bannow and 2)  Nuala Carroll, Castle Court. The next draw takes place on 14th June 2022 @ 8.30pm in St James GAA Club and the Jackpot will be €14,000.00. If jackpot is not won, Match 3 prize win or share €1,000.00 (this Match 3 prize will run for next 3 draws)

Green Road Gardens Fundraiser

There will be an open weekend and exhibition of Artwork at the Green Road Gardens  Y34 WV91 on Saturday 11th and Sunday12th June.  This is a fundraiser in aid of Grantstown Daycare Centre and Gardens.  Admission is €5 and includes tea/coffee and home baking and the gardens will be open from 11am to 4.30pm.  All are welcome.

Ramsgrange Active Retirement Group

We have a planned a half day trip to Johnstown Castle and Kilmore Quay for fish and chips on June 22nd. Pick – ups at Ramsgrange at 10 am and then Wellington Bridge at 10.30am. We should be back around 3.30pm This is to cost €20 and members should pay this at the June meeting on the 13th.

On July 6thwe are going to the cinema to see a film about Elvis Presley’s early life with his manager Tom Parker. It should be a good entertaining film with plenty of good music. The coach will leave Ramsgrange at 11.30 am picking up in Wellington Bridge 11.45am. We will stop at Meadow and Byrne’s or MacDonald’s (your choice) for lunch and a browse, arriving at the Cinema for 1.45pm.

Price for cinema and coach is €15, members to book their place and pay at the July meeting.

Our next meeting is on 13th June at 2.00pm at the SWWFRC. We will have a solicitor to speak to us about the importance of making a will no matter how old you are and ensuring that someone knows where your instructions are recorded. We have all learned through Covid how suddenly the need for this could be.
